I was originally born in Sandusky, Ohio. My mother proudly served in the United States Air Force, which brought us to Las Vegas, NV. I spent a little over 30 years in Las Vegas, NV, but the everchanging political culture did not align with my overall conservative beliefs. I then moved to Knoxville, TN and embarked on my journey of living in the South. In Knox County, I was blessed to have such an amazing mayor as Glen Jacobs. Even though I loved Knox County, TN, I decided to take a job opportunity that brought me to beautiful Greenville, SC! Upstate South Carolina is amazing. I enjoy both the locals that have resided in the area for years and like-minded individuals with conservative values, who have exited areas which did not align to our conservative values and principles.
Becoming a born-again Christian is the most impactful decision in my life. Since becoming a follower of Christ, my perspective has changed; utilizing my daily prayer to guide my life decisions.
After profound prayer on this matter, I have decided to run for the South Carolina House of Representatives Seat for District 22.
I believe that I can add value to the legislature, utilizing personal ideas, items other states which have passed like-minded conservative laws, and of course speaking with constituents in the local area. I see opportunity to MAKE A GREAT IMPACT!
Overall, it would be an honor to serve the constituents of this amazing area!
As a follower of Jesus Christ, I would love for everyone to pray for/that:
Please keep me in your prayers, for that is truly the most important thing I could ask for.
I know people have a lot on their plates and other responsibilities. If you wish to volunteer for my campaign, please feel free to:
I know that with the inflation of just about everything in the past 6 years, some may not be able to donate. I completely understand and only ask for your prayers. If elected, I promise to do everything in my power to lower the overall costs for my constituents. Please click below to contribute online via my Winred Account Rhode for SC House:

My favorite Bible verse is also one of my favorite daily prayers:
Psalm 144 - A King's Prayer of David
Blessed be the Lord, my rock
who trains my hands for battle
and my fingers for warfare.
He is my faithful love and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer.
He is my shield, and I take refuge in him;
he subdues my people under me.
Lord, what is a human that you care for him,
a son of man that you think of him?
A human is like a breath;
his days are like a passing shadow.
Lord, part your heavens and come down.
Touch the mountains, and they will smoke.
Flash your lightning and scatter the foe;
shoot your arrows and rout them.
Reach down from on high;
rescue me from deep water,
and set me free from the grasp of foreigners
whose mouths speak lies,
whose right hands are deceptive.
God, I will sing a new song to you;
I will play a ten-stringed harp for you-
the one who gives victory to kings,
who frees his servant David from the deadly sword.
Set me free and rescue me
from foreigners whose mouths speak lies,
whose right hands are deceptive.
Then our sons will be like plants
nurtured in their youth,
our daughters, like corner pillars
that are carved in the palace style.
Our storehouses will be full,
supplying all kinds of produce;
our flocks will increase by thousands
and tens of thousands in our open fields.
Our cattle will be well fed.
There will be no breach in the walls,
no going into captivity, and no cry of laments in our public squares.
Happy are the people with such blessings.
Happy are the people whose God is Lord.
Psalm 144
Efficiency and eliminating waste have been addressed in multiple Executive Orders issued by President Trump on 3/20/2025 with Eliminating Waste and Saving Taxpayer Dollars by Consolidating Procurement and on 3/25/2025 with Protecting America’s Bank Account Against Fraud, Waste, and Abuse.
Plain and simple, there is tax money that is not being spent wisely.
As taxpayers, it is continually frustrating seeing tax money go to waste.
I do want to clarify that as a whole, I believe that the police need more funding to keep our communities safe.
South Carolina currently has laws in place such as the State Auditor's duties listed in Title 11 - Public Finance - Chapter 7 State Auditor.
Unfortunately, these programs have failed the general public, generating over a billion-dollar accounting error.
We need to create a Department of Efficiency with a goal of decreasing spending in each level of government, including:
The KPI goals in place for the Department of Efficiency should incorporate:
The Department of Efficiency should be highly performance and incentive based:
Previously residing in both Nevada and Tennessee, judges were generally elected by a majority vote.
"Disappointment" is a kind word to use regarding the current judicial appointments in South Carolina.
Judges like any other office should be elected in fair elections, not appointed by politicians, with the exception of a temporary holdover situation due to an individual being either removed or voluntarily leaving office.
A change to South Carolina Constitutional Article V - The Judicial Department will be arduous, but well worth it when completed.
Utilizing Title 7 Elections, Chapter 13 Conduct of Elections, Article 1 Where, and How Elections Held, a constitutional change in our judicial election process will be provide and fair process to elect judges in our state.
May 19th, 2026 note - With the overturning of the Murdaugh murder verdict by The South Carolina Supreme Court, this really needs to be addressed. How fair was this decision? How much will the retrial of this case cost the taxpayers of South Carolina?
Proposal to change process to:
Appointments by Governor:
Magistrate qualifications:
Sufficient infrastructure has been addressed in an Executive Order titled Achieving Efficiency Through State and Local Preparedness by President Trump on 3/20/2025.
This is necessary in South Carolina. The current road conditions are unacceptable.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation maintains (or in this case fails to maintain) a majority of these roads.
There is also no accountability for the local city or town of over 1,000 to fix them. There is a law in place for any municipality under 1,000 residents to fix them, which makes no sense whatsoever.
South Carolina Code, Section 5-27-110 refers to the maintenance of roads of municipalities under 1,000 residents.
South Carolina Code, Section 5-27-120 refers to the maintenance of municipalities over 1,000 residents.
South Carolina Code 57-17-80 refers to the penalties for a municipality neglecting to repair our roads.
Update 6/1/2026 - The position of the state is that there are "too many regulations" hindering progress regarding our infrastructure. On day one, the new Governor needs to sign an Execute Order declaring a "state of emergency" on our infrastructure. This shall allow us to bypass any unnecessary rules and regulations and allow our infrastructure to be at an acceptable level for South Carolinians.
To hold the responsible party accountable:
there are a two South Carolina laws that need to be amended:
Implementing a few adjustments would prompt road maintenance as the citizens of South Carolina deserve.
Everyone deserves to be able to drive on a road without damage.
Previously residing in both Nevada and Tennessee, party affiliation was declared prior to any primary election.
"Disappointment" is a kind word to use regarding the current voting system in place in South Carolina.
It appears that Bill H.5183 was introduced in February 2026, but unfortunately as of today's date is still sitting in The State House Judiciary Committee. I personally support this bill but would recommend some additional language.
There is one amendment I would personally like to recommend to this bill, and one additional amendment to voter privacy for Title 7 Elections, Chapter 5, Article 1, Section 186.
If we do not close the primaries at least 60 days prior to the election, nothing will be accomplished. Currently H.5183 that indicates the specific time frame needed to register with a political party in order to vote in said election is 30 days.
Published political party affiliation can lead to hateful acts such as political violence, harassment, disinvestments of businesses and other actions. When closing the primaries, I would concurrently propose legislation disallowing the State Election Commission to publish or provide any political party information. Many South Carolinians would like to have their political stances confidential. I respect their right to privacy.
Proposal to amend current House Bill 5183:
Proposal to amend Section 7-5-186:
There are months dedicated to all causes. Not to minimize the importance of any of these causes, but unfortunately, we do not have a month dedicated to the most important factor in our life: Christianity.
When searching the internet, I found a movement in Canada where proclamations were made regarding Christian Heritage Month.
I would like to propose a month dedicated to Christian Heritage. Christianity is important to most of my constituents. It governs our daily lives in a way that even the laws of man do not.
Let us rejoice and proclaim our faith!
Proposal for Christian Heritage Month draft:
On 7/23/2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order - Accelrating Federal Permitting of Data Center Infastructure.
If we were in a state such as Nevada, where it is a vast desert and the vegitation consists of a few cactuses and some dirt, there is plenty of room to build data centers.
In South Carolina, we have beautiful vegitation, rugged mountains, amazing forests, and amazing oceans. This is no place for data centers.
House bill H.4583 was introduced in December 2025 and currently outlines that there needs to be a responsibility to introducing data centers to our state.
Personally making the addition that both the data center needs to be approved by a 2/3 vote of the residents of the respective county and increasing the fine from $1,000.00 to $100,000.00 per violation of any of the laws of the chapter will benefit the people of South Carolina.
This will ultimately deter data centers from breaking ground in our beautiful state and allow the legal citizens of the respective county to make the decision, if indeed a data center wants to operate in South Carolina.
Proposal to amend H.4583
This will ultimately deter:
We can generally agree that homeowners in South Carolina can use property tax relief. If you are an owner-occupied residential property, why should the tax burden be placed on you?
As South Carolina Code, Section 12-43-220 governs property tax classifications, assessment ratios, and special assessments, Title 4 Counties, Chapter 10, Local Sales and Use Tax, Article 1 governs options for use of your local sales taxes. The current allowance is 1% to utilize for pretty much anything that the respective county could imagine.
Imagine if we could create a new section where up to 5% sales and use tax increase could be utilized for property tax relief.
My draft/proposal allows up to a 5% sales and use tax increase to be voted on by the respective county council, then specifically dedicated to crediting owner-occupied residential property tax relief.
Upon hopeful approval by your respective county council, these funds could be utilized to relieve the tax burden that owner-occupied units currently carry.
Current Tax Process:
Draft of New Tax Amendment:
Unfortunately, gas prices are pretty high right now. Any discount would be greatly appreciated. I would like to propose legislation to do the right thing to help out licensed drivers who are residents of South Carolina.
Title 12 - Taxation, Chapter 28 - Motor Fuels Subject to User Fees defines our state gas tax/fees. A proposal that I would like to put in place is to have a base market value; where if there is an excess of cost, there is temporary reprieval of our gas tax.
Everyone has their own opinion, but personally I believe the set price should be if the market value in South Carolina exceeds $3.22 per gallon, the gas tax/fee is exempt. We give exemptions of this tax to airplanes, why not give hard working South Carolinians an exemption if there is an unexpected increase in fuel costs.
Proposal for amending Section 12-28-710 Exemption from the user fee on motor fuel
After continuous harassment and numerous assaults on our brave men and women of law enforcement, President Trump signed an Executive Order - Strengthening and Unleashing America’s Law Enforcement to Pursue Criminals and Protect Innocent Citizens (4/28/2025). Protecting law enforcement from harassment is imperative.
Law enforcement is continuously protecting and serving our communities. These brave men and women put their lives on the line each day to keep our communities safe.
Unfortunately, we have had incidents in other states which need to be addressed here at home before they become an issue here. Growing up, I was always told to respect law enforcement. If there was a disagreement, we have the judicial branch of government to mediate the situation.
Law enforcement needs to feel like they are able to do their job without interference, just as anyone who is working would like to do their job without interference.
New proposed laws against harassment and stalking of our law enforcement need to include:
This is more or less to prevent incidents that we have seen across the country in areas recently such as in Minnesota; where in my opinion, people were not treating our law enforcement as people, giving them the same common courtesy that you would give your neighbor.
Telecommunication companies are knowingly issuing United States based phone numbers to foreign entities who are in turn making harassing phone calls to hard working US citizens each day without consequence.
When was the last time you felt safe answering a phone call from a phone number you didn't know?
The only way to fix this issue is to hold telecommunication companies liable for knowingly issuing US phone numbers to foreign entities. These entities have no legitimate business purpose other than harassment and fraud.
This will consist of both fines and suspension of services to our state to be enforced by our Attorney General's Office.
People should not have to deal with this ongoing harassment, ongoing attempt to defraud hard working Americans.
Title 37 - Consumer Protection Code, Chapter 21 - South Carolina Telephone Privacy Protection Act is the current law regarding telephone protection. I proposed amending this code to include both liability for the telephone provider and liability for wilful violations of this act.
I want to reiterate that legitimate companies may make a mistake, but do not wilfully violate laws like this. These amendments are designed to target companies that wilfully break this law.
Proposed changes to Title 37 - Consumer Protection Code, Chapter 21 - South Carolina Telephone Privacy Protection Act.
On 6/6/2025 and 3/6/2026, President Trump signed the Executive Orders - Sustaining Select Efforts to Strengthen Nation’s Cybersecurity and Amending Executive Order 13694 and Executive Order 14144 and Combatting Cybercrime, Fraud, and Predatory Schemes Against American Citizens. Strengthening our cybersecurity and technology infrastructure in pertinent to both safeguard information and ensure that South Carolina is enhancing their technological footprint.
We have state departments such as the Arts Commission and Educational Television and Public Radio, but no department to enhance and develop technology, enhancing our digital safeguards.
For further success in technological advances, South Carolina needs to have a department that enhance our technology, specifically maintaining and enhancing our state government through a centralized IT organization. Like departments have been created in Texas, Delaware, Georgia, North Carolina, and other states.
On 6/12/2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order - Empowering Commonsense Wildfire Prevention and Response. Luckily we are blessed that our firefighting capabilities in South Carolina are aided by the wonderful men and women who are our firefighters. In late March 2025, in Pickens County, there was an apparent negligent, man-made fire.
South Carolina needs to amend Title 48, Environmental Protection and Conservation, Chapter 31 Emergency Powers to Protect Forests, SC Section 48-31-40, regarding the penalties.
The current fine is:
Individuals negligently creating fires cause costly damage to the state and need to be fined accordingly.
Proposed adjustments:
The current fines in place do not represent the potential costly negative impact that these fires end up costing South Carolinians.
